Hiring a designer is crucial when undertaking any construction or renovation project. Designers possess the expertise and knowledge to create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces that meet the specific needs and requirements of the client. They have a deep understanding of design principles, materials, and construction techniques, ensuring that the project is visually appealing and functional. Designers also consider factors such as sustainability, ergonomics, and cost-effectiveness in their designs, resulting in long-term benefits for the client. Their attention to detail and ability to visualize spaces enable them to create innovative and unique designs that maximize the potential of a site. Ultimately, hiring a designer ensures that the project is well-planned, creatively executed, and delivers a high-quality end result.
Our Design Process
Consultation
First, we come out to your residence, lot, or a meeting place and discuss your goals, budget, and take measurements if necessary. We will be sure to walk through your personal design style as well so be sure to get any pinterest picture or magazine clippings together so we can get an idea of what your preference is. A great consultation impacts the success of the overall project so the more information the better. The charge for a consultation is $250 for Rutherford and surrounding counties.
Rough Drafting
Secondly, if your wish to proceed, we will send a contract and then begin working on a rough draft. We may contact you with some questions throughout, but the goal is to get the overall plan figured out during this stage of the process. Upon finishing the rough draft we will deliver a watermarked copy of the plan and some elevations (if applicable). We will then schedule a meeting and do a 3D walkthrough and hone down some details. We charge hourly for design, starting at $150/hr, and will give you an estimate of the overall cost not to exceed until revisions.
Final Copy/Revisions
Finally, we will deliver a copy with the honed down details we discussed after review of the rough draft. We will submit another watermarked copy for review, and if we have approval, create the final plans needed to build the design. If its not quite perfect, no problem! We will discuss revisions and then continue until you are satisfied. Charges for the revisions may go beyond the estimated price.
